As your bass guitar teacher/coach Peter’s enthusiastic guidance will motivate you to become a better instrumentalist — whether playing for your own enjoyment, as a solo performer or as part of a duo/band.
Lessons involve bass guitar technique and song delivery
• first steps in understanding the bass guitar
• tips on playing the bass guitar – posture and breathing – hand position and fingering – changing bad playing habits – tuning and looking after your instrument
• learn to play songs – easy playing arpeggios– tempo, rhythm patterns and accents – short cuts and tricks – how songs are built and music theory along with
• playing and performing songs – amplification and effects pedals – styling/genre techniques – using internet resources

Peter has played and loved the guitar since he was 11 years old. He has performed as a solo lead guitarist in a variety of bands, including rock, pop, blues and jazz. He has been an accompanist for singers and has worked as a session musician. Peter has also built several guitars and is well known as an international maker of musical instruments and accessories. Finding it a positive thing in his own life, he seeks to instill a love of the instrument in the student.
